VCA Animal Hospitals is Hiring a Veterinary Technician/Assistant Near Tucson, AZ
VCA Northwest Animal Hospital is a multi-location, AAHA accredited veterinary hospital dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to our cherished community. We provide a vast array of services ranging from primary care, urgent care, hospitalization, rehabilitation service, and so much more. Our facilities are complete with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.
We are currently seeking a full-time, experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, multi-tasker, and who possesses excellent communication skills. CVT certification is a plus but is not required.
Necessary skills include,
- Strong critical thinking ability
- Knowledge of normal vital signs for companion animals
- Understanding of dose calculations
- Experience running in house diagnostic equipment
- Knowledge of low-stress handling techniques
- Understanding of the daily operations of a busy clinic
- And, the ability to prioritize time-sensitive tasks
